Merry Christmas. This year we are excited to help a charitable organization locally in Spokane. Catholic Charities has a wonderful program, “Rising Strong”.
Rising Strong is a holistic, family centered drug treatment and housing program supporting families in staying together while they begin to recover from addiction, heal from trauma and rebuild their lives. Please see their website at : https://www.cceasternwa.org/risingstrong. There are approximately 30-35 families in this program. Dawn Kinder, the program director has provided us with some ideas. BELOWis the list of ideas for the needs. There is a table showing sizes and number of individuals who need that size. There is a breakdown of children by age to identify potential toy/activity items. Thank you!
It was suggested to mail out prior to “Black Friday” for those wonderful sales. I thought it was a great idea too.
Save the date: Wednesday December 18,2019 from 4:00 -6:30 PM we will have an Open House for you to bring in those items for Rising Strong. Santa Claus, AKA Roger Schramm will be attending from 5:00-6:00 PM. Come in and get your picture taken with Santa.
