Vacation

Vacation

October 02, 2019

Vacations are always a great rejuvenating time for us. The Oregon beach the first week of September with the smell and taste of the salty ocean breeze and warm temperatures are welcoming. Long lazy walks on the beach, until the hike back then it’s work, did we really walk that far? We really did have to walk a lot after the very long 8-hour car ride. A time to unwind, reflect, and give thanks.

And… then there is the glorious, delightful seafood everywhere. Fish and Chips, that is my go-to favorite! Of course, we eat other seafood, clams, oysters, shrimp, salmon, rock fish. I could go on and on, but I won’t. Can you just smell all that food? Yummm…

Depot Bay is the world’s smallest natural navigable harbor. That is where our fish stories live. We wake before the sun is up, layer on the clothes and go crabbing and fishing.  Have I ever told you how incredibly hard it is to pull up a crab pot; well having said that you should ask me next time we chat.  Now here comes a crazy fish story, are you ready? I caught a nice cabezon, the excitement abounds now I have to tell you the sad fish story I had to throw it back, really seriously throw it back, the season was closed for cabezon.  Terri caught a respectful ling cod, she got to keep the cod, way to go, right. Had to have something special for throwing the cabezon back.

Perseverance and time management are skills used to schedule vacation time for us. They are skills used to manage your portfolio too. Would you like to chat about funding your vacation? I can be a resource to you, call me at 509-435-0446.
